I contributed a story to CBC’s Stories of Belonging. It’s a non-fiction account of one of the chapters in my novel. The weird thing is, after so many years, it’s hard to remember exactly what happened. Most of my novel is fiction, yet through the writing and rewriting of it over the years, reworking the plot elements, some of the scenes seem as real in my mind as some of the things that actually happened. Memory is weird that way, I guess that’s why eye-witness testimony is so unreliable.
Anyhow, the story can be found here.
